Eliodora Gomez

Eliodora was Grandma Pam’s mom. The only thing I’ve been able to find about her so far is that she was born in 1888 in Bayambang, Pangasinan, and she was married to Felipe Eser Jose in Bautista on September 21, 1908. She had nine children. Her parents were Pastor Gomez and Tereza Dizon.

According to some family stories, she was shot and killed in Baguio by the Japanese during the war. It’s unclear if this is related to some of Grandma Pam’s stories about eluding the Japanese by wearing boys’ clothes and hiding in chicken coops with her father.

Eliodora’s 1908 marriage record, citing her husband Felipe Eser Jose, his parents Luis E. Jose and Apolonia Malarulat, and Eliodora’s parents Pastor Gomez and Tereza Dizon. They were married in Bautista, where Grandma Pam would be born 17 years later.
