Heliodora Gomez
Heliodora was Grandma Pam’s mom. The only thing I’ve been able to find about her so far is that she was born in Bayambang, Pangasinan. It’s been difficult to find any archival resources from Bayambang, compared to other regions (like Cabanatuan, for the Eser Joses and Malarulats).
According to some family stories, she was shot and killed in Baguio by the Japanese during the war. It’s unclear if this is related to some of Grandma Pam’s stories about eluding the Japanese by wearing boys’ clothes and hiding in chicken coops with her father.
